Boo-yaka-sha chipmunks and chipmunkettes!
Are you ready? Are you rock steady? Well, you’d better be ‘cos
this here’s a
Malcolm Mail and a half!
- ISSUE 3 HITS THE SHOPS!
- ISSUE 1 AND 2 OUTSELL THE INDEPENDENTS!
- BLINK TWICE TO APPEAR AT THE UK NATIONAL COMIC CONVENTION!
Before we start however, we recommend that you make yourself a nice
cup of
tea, bring out those chocolate Bourbons you think no one knows about,
and
unhook the phone. This may take a while…
==== Issue 3 ====
You probably didn’t hear it here first,
but the brand-spanking shiny
strawberry-jam-packed third instalment of everyone’s favourite
comic-book,
Malcolm Magic, has just hit the shelves. Featuring new loonies, old
loonies
and loony-toonies, this beauty look set to become a recommended read
on the
National Curriculum. To purchase your copy either contact Robin or
Lorenzo,
or order on-line at www.malcolmmagic.com, where you can also check
out a
free 5-page preview.
==== Malcolm Outsells The Independents ====
We thought we were good. Dang! We knew we were
good, but it’s
still nice to
have these things confirmed. Figures just received at the Blink Twice
office
place Malcolm Magic as the best-selling independent title in three
London
comic shops. That’s the rub, folks! We is da cool.
==== UK National Comic Convention ====
There comes a time in the lives of all creative types when one must
suffer
the rigours of critical panning from the public, and scathing contempt
from
one’s peers. So it is with great trepidation that we announce
that Blink
Twice will be appearing at the 6th National Comic Convention, in Bristol,
over the forthcoming May bank-holiday weekend (29th-30th). Lorenzo,
and I
will be on hand to answer all your Malcolm, Dust To Dust and Trouble
Shooter
related questions, have our pictures taken, steal your
girlfriend/boyfriend/friend and force you to buy additional copies
of our
comics. It’ll be a giggle.
For more details, or to book your ticket(s), please visit
www.comicfestival.co.uk.
==== Malcolm Sketchbook ====
Any monkey who shows up at the Bristol Convention and purchases issues
1-3
of Malcolm Magic will receive a super-exclusive limited edition, numbered
and signed Malcolm Magic sketchbook.
This is a must-have item folks, we kid you not!
==== The Drawing Board ====
Also launching at the convention, but available at the site from June
1st,
is the 24-page Blink Twice extravaganza ‘The Drawing Board’,
featuring
exclusive previews of Trouble Shooter, Dust To Dust and Malcolm Magic.
It’s
jam-packed with character profiles, new artwork, unseen pages and more.
==== Web Updates ====
Last, but by no means least, there are updates GALORE awaiting your
clicking
figures at www.malcolmmagic.com. Marvel at the new character pages,
additional building and vehicle sketches, and the entirely new area!
Find it
on the homepage, chipmunks! There’s treats awaiting you...
Enough!
Hopefully you are now feeling sated and are busy smiling at the thought
of
just how hard we’ve been working for your ever-so-fleeting benefit.
We’ll see you at the convention furballs! Or we’ll see you for issue 4.
