"What we're dealing with here is nothing short of a work of genius."

- Silver Bullet Comics (www.silverbulletcomicbooks.com)

Hello Chipmunks and Chumps!

A special little bonus Malcolm Mail here to welcome a whole gaggle of new folks to the wonderful world of our furry Hero.

Over the past 9 days the scribbling genius that is my brother has been presenting a gallery of the 'Art of Malcolm Magic' at the 16th Annual Gallery Trail in Arundel, West Sussex. Apart from selling LOTS of comics to some intrigued (and occasionally confused) art buyers, Lorenzo spent a great deal of time sharing his experiences of producing our independent title with a legion of interested ladies and gents. For many it was a rare opportunity to discover what is involved in creating a comic and how much work goes into a bi-monthly production such as Malcolm Magic.

Two interactive tutorials were available for those who wanted to learn more. The first detailed how a single page of Malcolm Magic is created and the second showed Lorenzo's step-by-step guide to creating a full-cover colour for the comic.
These proved SO popular that we will be adding them to the website as soon as possible. Don't worry, we'll let you all know when they're up and running.

I was lucky enough to be able to attend both the beginning and the end of the Exhibition and met some really enthusiastic fans and friends. As per usual there were many great moments to make us smile but I there were two lovely moments that I will store away in my memory:

A lovely old lady approached me with a desire to purchase a copy of Issue 4 based solely on the fact that her 38 year old son was also called Malcolm (but no, he wasn't a rabbit...I asked her). She didn't want to know anything more about it and didn't even open a copy to have a look at what was inside! Genius. Thank you Maam! I hope your son loves it!
Then a great little 8 year old boy who, having asked me every question under the sun about how the comic is made, proceeded to repeat my rambled dialogue to his Mum and Dad, who had been standing behind him the whole time...WORD for WORD!

Dang, that kid reminded me of ME when I was that age...

So for all you new Malcolm-a-holics THANK YOU for signing up and don't forget to spread the good word to your friends, enemies, families and pretty much anyone you meet. Malcolm will love you for it and so will we.

Also don't forget to check out the amazing website
www.malcolmmagic.com. You will discover treat after treat after treat....
