Mark is not a blood relation of the Etheringtons. That is a scientific fact.

Found at the bottom of a pot of gold and raised within a closed circle of Leprechaun Mimes (a terrifying race!) Mark lost the will to live at a tender age. He managed to escape however, whilst his captors practised a pretending-to-be-asleep routine, Mark found love, affection and gainful employment within the Women's Institute where he worked as a mail model for their life-drawing classes until the age of 25.

Mark is famous among his peers for the following feats:

1. He only travels abroad when the stars are in alignment.
2. If he senses danger Mark can sometimes transmogrify into a Citroen 2CV. Bad move.
3. His record of sneezing for 18 consecutive months is unlikely to be challenged.

Though terrified of being recaptured at any moment by his initial pint-sized mythical hosts, Mark has given generously for two decades to the Give Fictional Characters A Chance charity (which he founded).
